AN EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS THEOREM FOR A COUPLED SYSTEM

Abstract

In this paper we present an existence and uniqueness theorem for an initial value problem associated with a coupled linear system and determine the dimension of null space of the coupled system. We also present a result on the smoothness of the solution for such IVPs. We adopt functional theoretic approach since it will pave the way for studying the nonlinear BVPs.
