ON AN ELLIPTIC MODEL WITH GENERAL NONLINEARITY ASSOCIATED WITH SUPERCONDUCTIVITY
Abstract
We consider a nonlinear elliptic system associated with superheating field in the theory of superconductivity. According to a formal analysis of Chapman \cite{C1} and the rigorous aruguments of Pan and Kwek \cite{PK02}, the superheating field is associated with some nonlinear elliptic system. \cite{PK02} conjectured that the results still hold for a system with a more general nonlinearity. Thus we shall consider a system with general nonlinearity. We also examine the exponentially decay estimates of the solutions.
